The Raiders pulled off another impressive win this season, beating New Rochelle 57-55.  The Maroon and White took a slim lead after the first quarter without starter Jon Cohen, who was in early foul trouble.  The Raiders went on a 17-0 run during the second frame, giving SHS a 39-23 cushion at the half.  The defensive play of seniors Alex Squadron and Jack Hewitt were the foundation behind the 'ders victory.  On the offensive front, Tyler Nathan(17 points, including 5 threes) and Dylan LoBue provided a valuable shooting presence in Cohen's absence, while co-captain Jack Hewitt(23 points, and 13 rebounds) was dominant in the paint.  The Huguenots great second half effort began in quarter 3, outscoring SHS 22-7, cutting the lead to 1.  The Raiders played with enough heart and toughness to eventually hold on for the 2 point win.  The victory puts the Maroon and White at an impressive 9-2 mark through 11 games.  Coach Jon Feld believes, "the team showed a lot of resilience in the second half.  We could have easily folded up our tents and let New Rochelle  run away with the game.  But that's not who we are.  That's not what we are made of."  With a resolve unmatched by their opponents, the Raiders will hopefully use this win as a springboard into the second half of a season, filled with many challenging games.
