Following a big win over New Rochelle, and with Mamaroneck on the horizon, it would have surprised no one had the Raiders walked into Pelham without its best effort.  In the middle of a tough stretch of league games, a non-league game wedged in always makes for an interesting dynamic.  But SHS was up to the task, defating the now 9-5 Pelicans, 57-42 behind 21 from Jack Hewitt, 14 from Dylan LoBue, and 11 from Robert Plummer.  Plummer led all Raiders with 9 in the first quarter, including an "and-1" that needed to be seen to be believed.  As the Raiders senior went to the basket, he was fouled and the ball flew from his hands over the rim, and into the bucket.  SHS ran out to a 24-10 lead against the Pelham 2-3 defense, ith threes from Jon Cohen and LoBue.  But Coach Mark Finnegan and his team never quit.  The Raiders had a 31-19 lead going to the half, but Pelham hit several 3s out of the break, cutting the lead to 6. After the Pelicans run, the Maroon and White went on a 24-15 run of their own to end the game, improving the team's record to 10-2.  Up next for Scarsdale is a rematch at Mamaroneck on Friday at 6, with the Raiders winning the first game 60-52.  The 10 wins exceeds the win total for the previous 2 years combined for SHS.
